Profile
Formed in 1999, Ethelbah * Lawrence, and Associates,
LLC, values the participation of our clients in setting expectations,
determining goals, and establishing viable outcomes. The members
are experienced lobbyists, public policy strategists, and professional
development facilitators with a combined education background
of over 65 years.
Curriculum
and Instruction
L2 assists schools and districts to develop and implement curricula
that include State Standards, integration of concepts across
disciplines, assessments, and research-based instructional strategies
with appropriate modifications to address specific learning
needs. L2 assists teachers to implement effective instruction
to promote learning by all students.
Technical
Assistance
L2 helps district personnel at all levels to make data-driven
decisions for continuous and systemic improvements, resulting
in enhanced student achievement. L2 assists schools and districts
meet Federal and State accountability requirements for specialized
program areas.
Professional
Development
L2 designs professional development opportunities to assist
schools and districts accomplish their unique mission and vision
for education. L2 collaborates with all participants to transform
goals into effective practices.
Program
Design
L2 helps districts design research-based organizational and
programmatic reforms to raise student achievement, including
smaller learning communities, literacy programs, and support
programs for students with specialized learning needs.
Governmental
Affairs
L2 advocates for school districts and other organizations on
the development of State and Federal policies. L2 has strong
understanding of policy development, and a positive rapport
with policy makers, both of which are necessary to promote an
organization’s interests.
Supplemental
Educational Services
L2 directs Advantage Tutoring Services (ATS), a supplemental
education service provider authorized by the New Mexico Public
Education Department. ATS offers tutoring in Reading and Mathematics
after/before school and on weekends through certified teachers
trained in effective instructional strategies and guided by
valid and reliable assessment data. ATS is built on sound education
research and supports the New Mexico Reading First initiative.
